WHAT DOES GLOBAL LENDING SERVICES DO WITH YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?



Why?

Financial companies choose how they share your personal information. Federal law gives consumers the right to limit some but not all sharing. Federal law also requires us to tell you how we collect, share, and protect your personal information. Please read this notice carefully to understand what we do.



What?

The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include:

  • Social Security Number

  • Account Transactions

  • Credit History

  • Account Balances

  • Income

  • Payment History



How?

All financial companies need to share customers’ personal information to run their everyday business. In the section below, we list the reasons financial companies can share their customers’ personal information; the reasons Global Lending Services chooses to share; and whether you can limit this sharing.

What we do

How does Global Lending Services protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

How does Global Lending Services collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you:

  • Apply for financing

  • Give us your contact information

  • Provide account information

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, or other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • Sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes – information about your creditworthiness

  • Affiliates from using your information to market to you

  • Sharing for non-affiliates to market to you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing. See below for more on your rights under state law.

What happens when I limit sharing for an account I hold jointly with someone else?

Your choices will apply to everyone on your account.



Definitions

Affiliates: Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Global Lending Services does not share with nonaffiliates so that they can market to you.

Nonaffiliates: Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Global Lending Services does not share with nonaffiliates so that they can market to you.

Joint Marketing: A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

  • Our joint marketing partners include financial service providers, motor vehicle dealers, and insurance companies.



Other important information

Residents of California:

Other than for our everyday business purposes, we will not share your personal information with nonaffiliates or affiliates without first giving you additional privacy choices.

This California Privacy Notice is provided pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”). The notice applies only to consumers who are California residents, as defined by California law.  This notice does not apply to Global Lending Services personnel.

California consumers have the right to:

  • Request twice in a 12-month period that Global Lending Services disclose categories of personal information subject to the CCPA that it collects, the source of such information, the business use, and categories of third parties to whom Global Lending Services may sell and disclose such information; and disclose specific pieces of personal information subject to the CCPA that it collects, the source of such information, the business use, and categories of third parties to whom Global Lending Services may sell and disclose such information. These disclosures may be found below.

  • Request that Global Lending Services, delete personal information, to the extent we are not required to retain it by law. However, Global Lending Services is required by law to maintain the information that we collect and is not permitted to delete it.

  • Request that Global Lending Services allow the consumer to opt out of any sale. However, because Global Lending Services does not and will not sell to third parties any personal information subject to the CCPA, there is no sale from which to opt out.

  • Additionally, you have a right not be discriminated against for exercising any rights under the CCPA.

To submit a request, you can contact us at our toll free customer service number 866-464-0269 or submit a request online at https://glsauto.com/contact-us.html.  To protect your privacy and maintain the security of your account, requesters will be required to authenticate your identity by providing your full name and two or more of the following; address listed on the account, last four digits of the customer’s social security number/Tax ID, account number, last 6 of VIN, or year/make/model of the vehicle.  Additionally, if you ask us to provide you with specific pieces of personal information, we may request that you complete and return a signed declaration, under penalty of perjury, that you are the consumer whose personal information is the subject of the request.

To designate an authorized agent to make these requests, we may require you to provide written permission, which may include submitting a copy of the California Secretary of State registration, authorizing the designated agent to act on the consumer’s behalf.

Listed below are the categories of personal information subject to the CCPA that Global Lending Services has collected about California consumers in the preceding 12 months, and the third parties to which Global Lending Services has disclosed such information in the preceding 12 months.

Pre-Collection Notice.

At or before the time Global Lending Services collects personal information, you are hereby advised that Global Lending Services collects and uses the following categories of personal information for the following purposes.

·   To process a payment for a Global Lending Services customer account

 

Notice of Financial Incentive.

Global Lending Services does not offer financial incentives in exchange for the retention or sale of a California consumer’s personal information.

Effective January 1, 2020

 

Residents of Vermont:

Other than for our everyday business purposes, we will not share the following without first giving you additional privacy choices: (i) personal information with nonaffiliates; and (ii) personal information about your creditworthiness with affiliates or joint marketing partners.

 

Residents of Nevada:

We are providing you this notice pursuant to Nevada law. At any time, you may request to be placed on Global Lending Services internal do not call list if you do not wish to receive telemarketing calls from us. If your telephone number is included on our internal do not call list, we may still contact you for servicing purposes. Nevada residents may also contact the Nevada Attorney General for further information about these rights. Please note: If you are a new customer, we can begin sharing your information 30 days from the date we sent this notice. When you are no longer our customer, we continue to share your information as described in this notice. However, you can contact us at any time to limit our sharing.
